It's Not "Migrant," It's "Immigrant."

The Most Obvious Newspeak No One Seems to Notice.

A few years ago, they (the people in the Media, the government, the office party, afterwards) started referring to “immigrants,” and actually, specifically illegal immigrants, as “migrants.”

This is Newspeak. I don’t know why anyone who has in any way a clear, non-MSNBC view of things would refer to them as “Migrants,” all of the sudden. Okay, oh, so changing the word for one of the biggest blights on society all at once in the Media is not enough for people to recognize?

Jesus. “Migrant” is not only obvious word-changing, but it is also obvious in its implications. You can’t stop migration. So you can’t stop these people, that’s what the word represents. Not only that, but it carries a connotation of “These are just good old fashioned refugees, they’re ‘migrants,’ They’re not illegal immigrants. Totally different category.”

Okay, so why are there no longer any people referred to by the old word? It’s a change for the entire category, and it’s a change that carries the meaning of not only unstoppable natural Forces, but animals.

Please, people. Be more conscious and don’t use this word to dehumanize the economic opportunists leaching off your land and destroying your cultures (because: Who migrates? Animals, do), or Yourselves. You deserve to have the society around you, not to have it changed by people who want to sweep floors, be aggressive sexually to your women, and change the Language.
