The movie Nosferatu the Vampyre by Werner Herzog is, as I remembered it, and more than I remembered it, a stunning masterpiece. It's the story of Dracula, with the same names, generally, and everything (or, I mean, exclusively), but it's Dracula by an art-house film director. It's Exactly the kind of navel-gazing nature beauty and incredible performances and lines (this shit sounds like Kafka, when the guy standing by the road, his carriage, and the Horses says there is no road, he has no carriage, and can't you see, there are no Horses, when Jonathan Harker asks him to ride him up to Dracula's castle.
