In prison, in the second one, I was sticking up for a guy who was really kind of annoying, himself. And he would end up being, as most of them would, at least kind of an antagonist, to me. But for a while, he was my friend. Anyway, the guy that I was sticking up for him against was making little comments as he walked by that could have been anyone, and the guy I was standing up for got pissed, and he said something, and then while the guy was walking past who said that, I said something in protest.
That was about it. While other prisoners were hilariously able to speak ("I'mma kill you, Homie," someone told me, almost exactly that, if not, "Threat." Of course, he was making fun of me for being there, for that; "If you go into the bathroom with me, I'll break your Nose "), and I didn't even begrudge them for it (he was the second guy, in sequence, the other one at the first jail, who told me "I'll kill you," the other guy saying: "I'll kill you, I'll actually kill you." Hilarious, being in there and having people say that to you, and they are not in there for that, nor will be), because it's stupid.
Ironically, the way someone almost did kill me, or at least try, was to wield the government against me for something I never said. Luckily, they were unsuccessful. (Have you ever had a lawyer who literally used the words "Smoking gun" to describe what saved you? It was not an actual item of that nature, of course.) Anyway, I have since been living in blinding Fear, as I see how easy it can be for someone to destroy you with something you didn't even say, much less something you did, and just said. Anyway.
