Purpose is a way of having more life, and fulfilling because it is personal and involving. It's also up to you.

Then we get to the Nietzsche conception, or the Frankl one, interestingly, of creating your own values, or giving your life meaning. I definitely have values, but they seem to sort of lead to a sense that this is just all waiting for it to be over.

Understood. To me, life is about continuing, self-motivation without worrying about the opinions of others, and finding your joy without causing harm - even bringing others into the same in a safe way, by being a friend, with boundaries of course.

That also reveals a possible component to not wanting to keep living, in that you’re worried (or I am) about what’s going to happen after death, and then it becomes about passing a Test you don’t know the answers to.

We are often taught or learn to be less than we are and will be. This is a piece of the puzzle, and you've already passed the test for anything that matters. That is where you start.
